On our way to Pogradec you will be amazed by the beautiful view of Lake Ohrid, a true pearl nestled between Mali i Thatë (the Dry Mountain) to the east and the Mokra highland to the west. We will drive along the shore of the tectonic Lake Ohrid, the deepest lake in the Balkans (285 m). This 2-4 million year old lake is under UNESCO protection due to its unique value and is home 17 species of aquatic animals, 70% of which are native and 30% migrant.

Enjoy this full day tour to explore two of the most beautiful cities in Albania. Discover the city of carnival and serenata of Korca and the lake city of Pogradec.
After meeting we’ll drive to Pogradec, approx. 130 km from Tirana. We will drive through Elbasan, Gramsh, and Perrenjas and then via the Qafë e Thanes Mountain pass. An amazing view will open in front of you. We’ll visit Pogradec and its main landmarks. Then we’ll drive to Drilon for a coffee break or lunch. Then we’ll proceed to Tushemisht, a characteristic village where a famous Albanian movie has taken place. There is the statue of Teto Ollga where a lot of people take photos. We will stop here for lunch. You must not miss a taste of the traditional fish dishes, especially the baked speckled trout (Koran in Albanian) for which Pogradec is famous for, as well as the famous pickles.
After lunch we drive to Korca. Here we will have the opportunity to take a short walk on Korca’s famous boulevard with an oversight of Korca’s history and also visit the renovated bazaar of Korca. The city of Korca has a range of museums such as the Education Museum, National Museum of Medieval Art etc. Also a short visit at St. George’s Cathedral in the city center. Then we’ll drive back to drop off places to finish our tour.
